The company is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation, a Canadian gold mining company, and the government of Mali. The company operates the Morila Gold Mine, which is located in the Sikasso region of Mali, approximately 280 kilometers southeast of the capital city of Bamako. The mine has been in operation since 2000 and has produced more than 3.5 million ounces of gold.
